Hey Ginger- thanks for asking; I've finally ended my writing slump!

Work is slow here too this week. Waiting for a blast snow coming through the state, supposed to get 1-3 inches here in Minneapolis over the next day or so, heavier snow out on the plains south of the city.

The weather is bizarre here this time of year. It can be massive blizzard, or 16 degrees in the morning, or bright and blue and green, or cold and rainy, or 77 degrees at 10:00 at night.

On one such warm evening in early April a number of years ago, I was waiting at a bus stop and across the street I saw three racoons walking down the sidewalk in front of an apartement building. At the end of the building, they turned into the large side yard which had a low fountain, they went over and drank some water, then disappeared behind the building.

Some years this is lilac time (the evening air drunk with their fragrance). They're not here yet this year. But soon.

I'm good, thanks for asking! I've also got to thank you for featuring Regina Spektor here awhile back. I put it on my wishlist and my s.o. bought it for my birthday last month. Cool, huh? Glad to hear things are looking up for you. :-)

Lyle, it's snowing again here too tonight. But I think I spied the slightest buds on a tree outside the office today.
